FAQ #1) What is the criteria to Nominate someone into the MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame?

Answer: The Nomination Criteria is outlined on the Google Doc Nomination Form

FAQ #2) How are Nomination Forms used to select MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees?

Answer: There is a MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame Selection Committee comprised of two members (Hall of Fame Co-Chair) and the MCHS Athletic Director, who will review all Nomination Forms received and have final approval of any HoF inductees.

FAQ #3) How many inductees will be accepted into the MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame?

Answer: Each year, It depends on how many Nominations are received, but expecting each class for the MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame to range from a minimum of 6-7 inductees to a max of 10-12 inductees.

FAQ #4) When is the MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame Ceremony?

Answer: The inaugural MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame Ceremony is scheduled for February 3, 2024 (from 3-4:30 pm before the annual Crab Feed starts at the Friedman Events Center in Santa Rosa)

FAQ #5) When is the last day to submit a Nomination Form for consideration into this year’s MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame?

Answer: The deadline for submitting a Nomination Form for the Inaugural Ceremony on Feb 3 is June 30, 2023.

FAQ #6) When will the MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees be announced?

Answer: The inaugural class of MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame inductees will be announced on Oct 2, 2023.

FAQ #7) What will it cost to attend the Athletic Hall of Fame Ceremony?

Answer: (TBD) At this time, we are not charging an entry fee for this event.

FAQ #8) How can I donate to the MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame Program?

Answer: (TBD) Here is a link to donate funds directly to the MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame Program (these funds will be used for awards and other expenses associated with the HoF Celebration events)

FAQ #9) How often will this MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame Ceremony happen?

Answer: (TBD) Given there is enough interest and support for this event, the plan is to make this an addition to our annual PAB Crab Feed Fundraiser, scheduled for the first week in February.

FAQ #10) What type of recognition comes with being inducted into the MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame?

Answer: Each MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame inductee will receive a plaque (individuals) or certificate (teams) and a lifetime pass to any regular season future MCHS Athletic event. Each inductee will also have a plaque mounted on our MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame wall (location TBD somewhere on the MCHS Campus).
