Volunteer Opportunities

Puma Football relies on the support of our families to help create an exceptional experience for our student-athletes. Volunteers are essential to the success of our program, helping with game-day operations, fundraising, team meals, and special events throughout the season.

Family involvement is one of the traditions that makes Maria Carrillo Football special, and we encourage every family to be part of the team beyond the sidelines.

To help share responsibilities across the program, each family is asked to volunteer for 2–3 shifts during the season.

Snack Bar

The snack bar is one of our largest fundraisers and provides critical funding for the football program.

Volunteers assist with food preparation, serving customers, operating the register, and keeping the snack bar running smoothly.

No experience is necessary—we'll show you everything you need to know.

To allow families to watch their athletes compete, Varsity parents traditionally volunteer during the JV game, and JV parents volunteer during the Varsity game.

Grill Team

Help prepare burgers and other game-day favorites for our fans and visiting teams.

The grill is one of our busiest and most important stations on game day, generating a significant portion of our snack bar revenue. No prior grilling experience is required.

Team Dinners

Team dinners are an important tradition that bring players together and help build team chemistry.

Families host team dinners throughout the season. JV dinners are typically held at the stadium the night before home games, while Varsity dinners are traditionally held at a family's home the night before each game. Families may host a dinner independently or partner with another family to share responsibilities and expenses.

Shopping & Preparation

Volunteers help stock the snack bar before each home game.

A shopping list is distributed early in the week. Purchased items should be delivered to the snack bar on Thursday between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

All approved purchases will be reimbursed by the football program.

Game Day Support

Additional volunteers are needed throughout the season to assist with:

• Field setup and takedown

• Chain crew
